About Us

Established as a business in July 2008, RCS (Rose Computer Solutions) provides personalised computer solutions and support for the home and small business community within a 10 mile radius of Harrow.

Do you have old home movies on VHS video tapes that you want to preserve digitally? Converted tapes will be provided on a DVD.  We will also supply the same recording as an MP4 file. MP4 files can be played on computers, tablets and mobile phones.  They can also be uploaded to YouTube which could be shared with family and friends.

For more details please see the page on Computer Services.

We also sell photographic specialist lighting and photographic accessories as well as computer accessories and software, etc.

We stock a wide range of projector lamps / bulbs and old style domestic light bulbs. We also have stock of vintage and obsolete photographic lamps. Boxes may be marked and some have been repacked in plain boxes, but all lamps have been tested with a meter. If there is a lamp you need, please review the Vintage Photographic Lamps category.

Shop online with RCS for projector lamps - if you are unsure which lamp you need, please feel free to send us the make and model of your projector. We stock a very wide range and we are almost certain to have them in stock. We sell bulbs for Arri, Argaphoto, Bowens, Elinchrom, Fresnel, Interfit, Lastolite, Redhead and other studio and disco lighting equipment.

RCS sells Homeplug network adaptors. Turn any Electrical Socket into a Network Port - Electrical power is supplied and distributed around your house at 50Hz. However, the wires are actually capable of carrying a range of other frequencies which can be 'tuned-in' using appropriate equipment. Powerline technology takes advantage of this unused bandwidth of the electrical wiring in the home. The PowerLine device plugs into the electrical socket and draws power for the device, at the same time, it sends data signals down the power cord. A second PowerLine device can then be placed on any electrical outlet in the home/office to receive the signal. Now any Ethernet device (internet cable/DSL modem or another computer) can connect to the PowerLine Ethernet port and create a home/office network.

Are you looking for an instruction manual for your old camera? RCS has a range of old instruction manuals mainly for Canon but may have others.
